About
I am running because I am an everyday Idahoan, born and raised in Boise, whose whole family lives, owns businesses, recreates and gathers here, who works and owns property in the same neighborhood, Boise’s Southwest District 22. I love this state and am ready to get to work, giving back to the place and people that have given so much to me.
I am running because I love people. My training as a theatre artist has taught me to care about the stories of others, to try to find a way to relate to them no matter how different we may be, and hold them as though they are my own. As a middle school teacher, I am well versed in leading, inspiring self-advocacy, helping those who need it, and encouraging others to find their voice. This is the service I intend to provide for my neighbors, for Idaho’s children, and for this state.
I am running as a Democratic candidate for the Idaho House of Representatives because I want to see Idaho fulfill its potential and rise in the ranks of education, infrastructure and livability for its locals. I am eager to ensure that Idahoans raise well-educated children who will become the next generation of parents and consumers and business leaders. I am eager to advocate for small and local businesses, to fight for a tax plan that doesn’t run property owners out of their homes and encourages smart infrastructure planning that will provide our communities with high-quality roadways, broadband, and protective services.
