Idaho Democratic Party Executive Director Jared DeLoof released the following statement in response to the passage of the bipartisan budget agreement:
“President Biden and Democrats worked across the aisle to protect our economic recovery and avoid a catastrophic default. The bipartisan budget agreement prevents the loss of tens of thousands of jobs lost in our state, protects key programs that Idaho families rely on, and safeguards medical care for veterans.
“Despite overwhelming bipartisan support, a majority of Idaho’s congressmen opposed this deal. These negotiations made clear that Jim Risch, Mike Crapo, and Russ Fulcher will stop at nothing – including holding our economy hostage – to enact their unpopular and dangerous agenda.”
