District 19 Democrats: 7th Annual Yard Sale
May 30 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm MDT
One thing Democrats stand for is taking care of the environment. What better way to do this than have a yard sale? This will be our 6th year. Come shop! And, if you can, please volunteer to help. The money we collect goes to supporting the election of great local candidates.
Details
- About: Donations accepted May 23 to 29 and can be dropped off on the side of the garage at 602 W Alturas St. If you can’t hang on to your donation until the drop off week, contact us and we’ll figure something out.

Volunteers are Needed
Join us to make this the best D19 Yard Sale ever. Volunteers are needed before, during and after the event. Check out this list and volunteer for one or more duties.
- Donate items. Drop them off at 602 W Alturas beside the garage May 23-29. Would you put a note on the donation with your name and address so we can send you a thank you note?
- Check for Donations. Each evening, May 23-29, volunteer to check for donations at 602 W. Alturas and do a rough sort to safely organize and store donations.
- Pick up and return tables. On May 29 a crew with a pickup truck and muscle is needed to get tables from IDP HQ at 413 W Idaho St and transport to the yard sale and return them to IDP Sunday, May 31.
- Big sort and organize the donations: May 29 set up tables. Probably 9:00 to noonish.
- Volunteer to help during the sale. We will have 2 crews. One crew will work in the morning setting up and running the yard sale from 7:30 to noon. The second crew will work noon to 4:00. Volunteers will greet shoppers, explain the layout and pricing, tidy up and help customers check out.
- Yard Sale sign placement: Friday, May 29 and retrieval, Saturday, May 30 about 3:00. We have 25 signs with wire mounts like candidate signs to place in public areas and yards where we have permission.
- Snack crew: Provide some snacks for the workers on Saturday, May 30. Fill water dispenser, make, coffee, etc (we will provide the water dispenser and coffee maker).
- Last thing: Drive a vehicle load of leftovers to thrift store Sunday, May 31. I checked and Youth Ranch takes donations on Sunday at the store on Main Street and on Broadway.
Celebration for Volunteers
All volunteers are invited to join us about 4:30 on May 30 after the yard sale to have a beverage, enjoy some soup and congratulate each other on a job well done. More details will be coming about the after sale celebration.
