FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Democratic Party announced today the Frank and Bethine Church Gala has sold out.

Now entering its thirtieth year, the Frank and Bethine Church Gala is the premier social event for Idaho Democrats. On Saturday, March 9, over 1,000 Democrats will gather for an evening of celebration and support featuring keynote speaker Senator John Fetterman. Organizers expect to raise $300,000 from this event to fund 2024 election efforts.

The event comes during extraordinary growth in the Idaho Democratic Party’s organizational capacity. The gala caps off the party’s spring meeting of the State Central Committee, which, for the first time, has representation from all 44 counties. In 2023, the Party completed its Dark Counties Initiative, to develop local campaign committees in every county in Idaho.

The Idaho Democratic Party expects to exceed fundraising expectations again in 2024 after consecutive breakthroughs. The Idaho Democratic Party has nearly tripled its annual fundraising over the last four years.

“It’s inspiring to see Democrats from all over Idaho step up to support our mission like never before,“ said Idaho Democratic Party Chair Lauren Necochea. “The increasingly extreme Republican supermajority has stripped away our reproductive freedoms, left our schools in disrepair, and made it harder for working families to get ahead. The stakes could not be higher and Democrats are rising to meet this critical moment.”
