Are you interested in being a commissioner?

By law commissioners must meet the following criteria:

Must be a registered Idaho voter
Cannot have been a registered lobbyist later than August 1, 2020
Cannot have been an elected official later than August 1, 2019
Cannot have been a state, county or legislative district party officer later than August 1, 2019
This prohibition does not apply to the position of precinct committteeperson
Commissioners will be precluded from serving in the state legislature for five years

Commissioners must be able to:

Work in person in Boise at least August-October (maybe)
Reimbursement for housing, travel, and $75 per diem is provided by the state.
There is no other compensation for this position

Preferred experience:

Work experience related to or unique knowledge of the Idaho Legislature
Administering public meetings
Media and public relations
Legislative, law, GIS or related fields

Preferred skills:

Strong personal relationship, mediation, and negotiation skills
Computer literacy
