Public Education

Support public education investments so that every child, in every zip code can attend a great neighborhood school
Oppose voucher schemes because they reduce funds available for our public schools
IDAHO REPUBLICANS
Underfunded schools for decades, leaving Idaho last in the nation for per-student funding, and made it harder for schools to pass levies, causing school closures

Overturned commonsense protections for renters such as requiring landlords to have a vacant property if they collect rental application fees
Training our Workforce

IDAHO REPUBLICANS
Largely opposed LAUNCH and have a platform opposed to all funding for higher education, including the defunding of Idaho’s public colleges and universities
Voting Rights
IDAHO DEMOCRATS
Believe in free and fair elections and oppose efforts to disenfranchise voters through onerous voter ID laws, unconstitutional and excessive purges of the voter rolls, and closures of polling places in low-income neighborhoods, on college campuses, and in communities of color
IDAHO REPUBLICANS
Passed a law that criminalizes absentee ballot delivery for elderly neighbors, preventing legally cast ballots from being counted; and passed restrictions preventing the use Idaho-issued student photo IDs at the polls
Attempted to pass a bill with arbitrary restrictions on mail-in voting, allowing people with second homes to mail their ballot, but not Idahoans who must travel for a funeral or family reunion
Libraries
IDAHO DEMOCRATS
Support access to our public libraries, the freedom to read, and local control for local libraries
IDAHO REPUBLICANS
Passed a law empowering book banners to sue libraries and receive cash rewards over books they find objectionable, leading small libraries to close their doors to children
