Job Opening: Executive Director

Hello Idaho Democrats,

The Idaho Democratic Party is seeking a new Executive Director. As many of you know, our current executive director, Elle Casner, resigned from her position in December and will leave the party in March. We are incredibly grateful for her service to the Party over the past four years.

Elle started with the Party as chief financial officer and then became the youngest female state party executive director in the nation. Under her leadership, the IDP ran a well-funded and well-run get out the vote effort that helped elect five new legislative seats and numerous county officers. The IDP staff officially became members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, leading by example as other state parties continue to follow in our footsteps in advocating for workers’ rights. When Elle leaves us in March, she will leave the IDP in a strong, competitive position to be successful in 2019 and 2020.

As the chair of the Personnel Committee, I have been given the task to find the best possible candidate to fill the Executive Director position. The committee will work very diligently to recruit candidates in Idaho and nationwide. We are using new and innovative technology for applicants to apply online. It serves as a communication tool and central hub for us to hold all of the applications. It has allowed us to streamline the process so that we can focus on finding the best potential candidates.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with strong organizing and fundraising experience and must encompass our Idaho Democratic values. If you have someone that you would like to invite to apply, please send them the link below. The position is open until Feb. 9, 2019.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your support of the party,

Van Beechler, 1st Vice Chair

Idaho Democratic Party

Applications will close on February 9th
