Idaho Dems in Boise’s Legislative District 18 got the whole neighborhood out for a barbecue this week.
And they were all there for a free barbecue and drinks and to meet the exceptional team of legislators from District 18.
AJ Balukoff let the crowd know that the folks in Idaho are looking for someone to pull Idaho off the bottom in education investment, family income and minimum wage jobs.
He said he’s had Idahoans telling him that they want a governor who works hard, tells the truth and puts people first, which is his campaign’s motto!
Then, the District 18 legislators–each one an outstanding Idaho Democrat–took their turns:
Sen. Janie Ward-Engelking, who moved from the House to the Senate this year to fill a vacancy; Rep. Ilana Rubel, who is running for her first election after making a standout debut in this year’s Legislature; and, Rep. Phylis King who is the senior member of the district.
Sure, folks wanted to meet their legislators, but you don’t draw this kind of crowd without a whole bunch of hard work from dedicated Idaho Dems.
The Legislative District 18 Chair, John Goetsche, runs one of the most effective and vibrant districts in the state.
His leadership, and the enthusiasm for strong legislators who represent their constituents well, has drawn energetic volunteers who made this picnic a success.
