President Obama’s State of the Union Address

Idaho Democrats are proud to have a President that recognizes the priorities of the people he serves. Idaho will benefit from President Obama’s focus on building a country and economy where we reward hard work and responsibility, where everyone does their fair share, and where everyone plays by the same set of rules.

Our Idaho Democratic Legislators our working on similar priorities right here in our state. With their Restore Ethics and Accountability Initiatives to re-build Idahoans trust and faith in their government and job creation bills to put Idahoans back to work and build Idaho businesses.

The President, just like our own Idaho Legislators, are encouraging a bi-partisan partnership to accomplish our goals. It is only by working together that we can accomplish what we must to return our families to and communities to prosperity. As President Obama said in his State of the Union address, “As long as we’re joined in common purpose, as long as we maintain our common resolve, our journey moves forward, our future is hopeful, and the state of our Union will always be strong.”

We look forward to the next year and the accomplishments we can achieve for the people of Idaho through focus and partnership on priorities that will put Idahoans back to work, enhance our education system, and restore responsible government.
