Democrats meet people at their door and spread the word on property tax relief

Democrats have always championed low and fair taxes with exemptions only for those who truly need them. For example, the “circuit breaker” was put into law many years ago under Democratic leadership and protects people whose income goes down but their property taxes don’t. The problem is that too many people don’t know about it and risk losing their home if they lose their job or experience a pay cut.

So, since Democrats are talking to people at their homes they are giving them information they need to determine if they qualify this year. Here is the story that was in a local newspaper.

Of course, Republicans have given away lots of tax breaks to wealthy special interests but they don’t need to go door-to-door to tell people about them. Their friends in high places know how to take advantage of them.

Since talking to ordinary people at their home about their jobs, their taxes and their families is at the root of a healthy democracy but not likely to get TV coverage, share this story with your friends. Assure them there are people in our communities who are more interested in solving problems than shouting and suing. They are called Idaho Democrats!
